The writer of this psalm, shows us there are times where the Christian's heart can be in dismay. In the midst of his confusion and suffering, redirects his weakened and confused heart to hope in God, knowing that his current state won't last forever.

An encouragement that in our own seasons of depression and distress to not turn away from God, but to continue to look towards God as our hope, even in the midst of our struggles.
